There are two solos in blue sky, back to back. Duane’s is first. I was covering this song with a band I played with in college. We had a multi-instrumentalist that would sit in with us. Bit of a savant. Could play sax, flute, harmonica, fiddle, keys, and a savage guitar. Our lead player said for him to take first solo and he’d take the 2nd. So, he goes into the first solo and plays it note for note off the album, does the two guitar harmony and proceeds to play the 2nd note for note.

At the end our guitar player asked, “I thought I was going to take the 2nd.” He had no idea there were two solos back to back. Played both perfect, note for note on first run through. Crazy.
