Back to the original subject, I wasn't a fan of Arby's fish sandwich.

I just the double fish sandwich at McDonald's on Saturday. Not too shabby

I haven't had a fish sandwich in forever. This thread made me want one lol.

They actually use a decent quality of fish. The one I tried from Arby's didn't hold a candle to it. Suppose I could have just gotten a bad one.

Double? Two classic McDonald’s square fish filets on one bun? Or is it like a “Big McFish” with a middle bun?

A Big MacFish would be pretty sweet. Make it like a a Big Mac but with fish instead of patties and tartar sauce instead of thousand island dressing.
It had tartar sauce. It was just an extra fish patty.

Of the fish I target regularly with the type of fishing I do, Pompano is my favorite. Just under them on the tier list would be a tie between redfish, sheepshead and Flounder. Then after them a tie between sea trout and Mangrove snapper. Next is probably Whiting and black Drum, along with Spanish Mackerel. All good to eat so it's tough to rank. I've had bluefish and it gets a bad shake but it is honestly fine. Though still not really a target species for eating, for me personally.

If I'm ordering at a restaurant then grouper is never a bad choice. If they have cobia however they might tempt me even with the market price lol

What restaurant has the best fish tacos?
I don't know, it's been too many to keep track of, and there's no chains in the contest. I've never had a 'bad' one.

I will say they almost all use cabbage but don't necessarily make slaw out of it. you want some kind of hot pepper in a tangy sauce. If people use the word "Voodoo Sauce" that's not wrong. I think it needs to be batter fried. Most places use some pico but it'll be something weird.
Maui Tacos in Hawaii obviously very good.
FWIW I ate fish tacos at Boojum Brewing in Waynesville, NC just recently and I thought that was unusually good.

I had fresh cobia a couple of years ago after a fishing trip and thought it was awesome
