Serious movie: The Shining
Not-so-serious movie: Ernest Scared Stupid

If it's implied that the movie must take place at some point on Halloween, I'll go with Donnie Darko or House II.

I bet it’s been 30 years since I’ve seen E.T. I think I might just see if I can stream it this weekend.

I have two middle schoolers, yet we haven't watched E.T. in years. Problem is when my youngest was 3 or so, she had a traumatic dream where E.T. popped up out of the toilet and terrified her. You couldn't so much as say "phone home" for years afterward without her screaming and howling in tears. I am totally serious, no lie.

She's 11 now and still won't watch it, and turns away from pictures of it, even gets a little peeved if you mention E.T. She also realizes the whole thing's hilarious but still wants nothing to do with it.

Musta been some bad dream.

@pismonque it’s good she acknowledges the humor in the situation. Hope you guys are able to enjoy it together at some point.
lol we will, thx. We were just giving her a hard time about it the other night. She was laughing and knows we're gonna make her watch it someday soon. Probably not this week though.

Exorcist, conjuring 1 and 2, the nun, sinister. Pumpkin head. Devil ( think that's the name) everyone was trapped in an elevator together dying one at a time for their sins.

I have others but I cant remember them all. I like possession style horror because I believe it could happen, so it creeps me out.

Dont like slasher flicks much, they are way to unrealistic. Mike Myers living through anything.

I like M Night Shyamalan suspense and creativity. Like the Happening. The unbreakable series was new take on superhero flicks.

Trick or treat, watch it every year now.

The two that I always make sure to work in somewhere is the original Halloween and Trick R Treat.

It's not a great movie or anything but I kinda like Burton's Sleepy Hollow for a seasonal movie. Scream is pretty cool, being so self-aware makes it entertaining beyond the more rote slasher flicks. Evil Dead is certainly a classic to revisit.

If feeling more sci-fi I'll go The Thing or Alien.
