Depends on where you live. Cell phone service is all about greener grass. Everything looks better when you are tied to a two year agreement.

We've got Cingular also. It's by far the best reception where we live. Is it true Cingular now has the walkie talkies like Nextel?

Well, the best test of that was during the hurricane. I couldnt use my sprint phone for weeks. I know people that used their Nextel and Alltel all during and after the storm!!!!!

Verizon seems to be the way to go around here... haven't had any problems.

Is there really such a thing as "best cell phone service"??

My vote goes to whoever has the most towers in the area I'm going to be in. I pretty much assume that the customer service will suck no matter who I sign up with.

I have Cingular and it works everywhere I go. I would ask your friends and co-workers who they use to see what may work best for you in your area.

I've got Cingular with a Motorola flip phone. I like it.

Whatever service you get, do us all a favor . . . if you get one of those walkie talkie phones, don't use the walkie talkie function when in a public place. Nothing says "I'm a moron" like a guy on one of those Nextel phones with his conversation blaring for all to hear while talking in CB codes."

I have Cingular and it works almost everywhere. The only time that I don't have a signal is when I'm going through a mountain area.

I've had them all and Verizon is the best I've found. But it does depend on where you live and where you travel. One end of my house the signal is pegged out. The other end is no service.

I have Verizon, and it has great coverage around the state. My dad travels a lot and is happy with them, too.

Well, I have Cingular. I'd probably get fired if I had anything else. LOL

Oh yeah, Cingular does now offer push to talk services.

I'm surprised at how many Vols have Cingular, /w Verizon being "The official carrier of TN athletics".

I have Verizon... I'm happy /w the service and phones, but the CUSTOMER service is horrible, seems like the ppl working for Verizon know less about their phones and service than I do (which is probably true). The only places I've ever had trouble are between the TN-KY state line up to Lex, and the long strech of I-40 between Raleigh, NC and Wilmington, NC.

Verizon also picked up PTT services about a year ago... and the sheep now have a version of the Motorola Razr... I LOVE the LG phones they have.
