EB can approve all day long but we are going between 4-8 to 7-5. Not good but not Dooleys fault but I fear a bad first season and recruits will assume its his fault and go elsewhere.

That's the only thing I'm worried about. I can endure another tough year, but each one makes it harder and harder to convince kids to come here.

As long as it's better than 4-8 I'm good bc I want to remain one of only two teams along with osu never to lose 8 games.

If we go 4-8, I don't see any way Dooley can escape blame.

That's a pretty cool piece of trivia I didn't know about but I hope that's not your only reason for not wanting to be that bad.

Bare minimum goals for this season:

1. Get five wins to keep the streak alive.
2. Beat Kentucky to keep that other streak alive.

Regular goals for the season:

1. Make a bowl game
2. Win seven games (including the bowl)

The two coaches previous to him didn't exactly leave the cupboard stocked as well as the Florida's and Bama's of the world. Now, we have plenty to compete with the Vandy's and Kentucky's of the SEC though. Heart can only carry this team so far this season.

Hes brought in a great staff and will get the most out of these players, not a doubt in my mind. Prepare to be (in your case) shocked this season.

It's still going to be a very long season....of course the coach is going to get the blame if a team doesn't win

i mean our talent isint GREAT but its still not horrible
we have had 2 stright top 10 classes and a 3rd ranked class in 07. even though alot of those of people are not here anymore we still have some talent from them. so even though we dont have any depth, if we stay healthy then we could win 6 this year and maybe even pull some upsets.

with dooley keeping practices closed teams are not going to be able to scout us as well. it might piss off our fans and all but its good to keep things a secret untill you play people.

PS- i agree dooley needs a better year than what we are expecting. i know its not fair but he does. if he totally bombs this year then recruits are going to go running and we will have to be looking for another coach in 2 years

He took up for Kif leaving so he has moved down on my UT favorites list quiet a bit so his opinion is like mine..............worthless!

EB said he understood that it was a business, along with alot of the other mature football players at UT, he didn't endorse him in leaving UT and putting us in a very bad situation. No reason to be hating on EB.

Berry just said it like it was, without his orange glasses on.

Kiffin shouldn't have left, but I don't blame him for doing so for his dream job.

Get real. The blame lies in the PF regime leaving the cupboard bare and most perceptive people know that. All Dooley has to do is show progress for the first three or so years.

Exacly. I don't think he could of worded that better for the media. He was prolly pissed like the rest of us, but no reason to make yourself look like a babbling idiot like all those guys from Cincinnati when Kelly left.
