Rumors are MVC looking to form a mid major power conference in hoops and could look to add the likes of Saint Louis, Murray State, Dayton and Western Kentucky.

They rejected Murray State a few years back when they added Valpo. But realignment has changed the calculus, and the Racers might be more appealing right now. St Louis and Dayton are in a stronger basketball conference at the moment, but perhaps a geographical move would be wise from an all-sports perspective. WKU would be a surprise as they play FBS football. I can't see them choosing to go independent for football.

Hope Mu**ay State has to go to the Southland Conference. :cool:

There is 0 chance SLU, Dayton, or WKU join the Valley.

Murray should happen though.

As a graduate of Missouri State, I am excited for this move. The conference has been weak since Creighton and Wichita State left.

To be fair, the members left (Bears fan here) haven't exactly done their part. Aside from Loyola

Agree. Expected S. Illinois and N. Iowa to be better. I hear Missouri State is expected to be pretty solid this season.

Football looks to be rolling under Petrino. Feels like a deal with the devil, but enjoying seeing them have success for once.
