The tie alone is enough to make me love him. I really dig his energy. He looks are farhd up for this job.

It seems to me that Currie is a significant upgrade over Hamilton and Hart. I hope he he works out well for y'all. He just might. It also seems to me that VN should be more supportive and give him a chance to show what he can accomplish, instead of prematurely making such a big deal out of negative perceptions that may be off the mark.

I can only speak for myself, but I was hoping to have a better feeling about the new AD than "he just might work out well". Been there, done that. I was looking forward to finally having a hire that I was excited about.

That said, I'm experienced in "getting on board" and supporting any new staff at the University, so I'm sure Ill come around.

This whole AD thing has made me uneasy. Looks like it has been a mess. That being said as a UT alumni I will support Mr. Currie. He might have to drain the swamp in the athletic department. I hope he holds the coaches accountable and if change is needed then get it done.

I know you've posted here long enough to know that's just not how we roll

You guys are better than us at paying search firms too? WTF!
Maybe y'all are better negotiators :dunno:

Seriously tho, the difference is likely due to the amount of work contracted for on the two search projects.
