I'm not a UT Alum and living here in Louisville I don't get insider information. But having done little research, I like his energy compared to the last two AD's and Davenport seems to be a ball of fire herself! Someone with true knowledge tell me I'm wrong.......

It seems to me that Currie is a significant upgrade over Hamilton and Hart. I hope he he works out well for y'all. He just might. It also seems to me that VN should be more supportive and give him a chance to show what he can accomplish, instead of prematurely making such a big deal out of negative perceptions that may be off the mark.

It wouldn't have mattered who was hired; half would be supportive and half would *****. It's actually embarrassing that one of the main issues with UT that is being discussed is the "divided fanbase".

I am just curious, what from this short video makes anyone think we are going to be alright?

Social, likability and he knows faculty and staff that's been there a long time. I like he talked to the girl in the cafe and he knew her dad and took a picture. He met his wife in Knoxville and he made clear winning and education are important. Good short story for me.

What was your take from the video? I see a guy who cares about the student athletes, coaches, and staff....someone who wants to win but also wants to graduate athletes....He has passion and energy he loves Tennessee you could see that

Also the fact he went around and introduced himself to every athlete and asked where they're from, the sport, and how they were doing was impressive he didn't have to do that

Yeah. I recall some "Hey UT Administration, this is how you do it..." discussion on VN when it was announced that UA has discretely searched for and hired its new AD. Well, UA paid a search firm $100k to help them do it. Guess what, UT paid the same search firm $75k to do the same thing.

The voice of reason on Volnation is coming from a rival poster. I don't understand how this is so hard to comprehend for Vol fans. It's as though people are rooting against Currie just so they could say "see I told you so".

Many folk don't trust the hiring of ppl by Haslam and Co. after the last decade or better. Maybe they expect another kick in the crotch.
