I'm saying if he played the whole game they many not have been down by 10 at the 3:41 mark and might have scored the winning basket along the way had they had their floor general in the game. I really don't understand how anyone can say Thompson deserved to play 26 minutes of that game. How loudly did you blow the horn about Tennessee winning every game when Barton had 13 or more points. He never got the chance. He had 3 in 14 minutes after nailing his first 3 pointer, a good sign. He only shot two. Thompson is afraid to even shoot a three. So while Michigan was raining 3's. Cuonzo Martin was taking a guy who had hit 51 of 150 for 34% with a guy who hit 8 of 41 for 19.5% from 3 point range. How do you justify that. BTO?So you're telling me if Barton plays the final 15 minutes we win the game?
Don't see it.
I mean goodness gracious, talk about flip FLOPPING! If you look at your 34000 posts since Martin's first season you will see that you always defend his somewhat inconsistent coaching. In this instance, you diss the point guard you have been praising the first three games. Even Martin has said he was the difference until the biggest game in Tennessee history and suddenly he doesn't play as good as a freshman who can't score. Just give it up! Yep, Barton might have been the difference if he wasn't on the bench. Playing 14 minutes? Come on. He averaged 9 points per game in the first 3 games and had 3 in this one before being benched for some ungodly reason. If Antonio had one more 3 Tennessee would be playing Kentucky.Because Thompson played better, it's not complicated.
