UT is under no obligation to accept them back. He’s probably a FCS player with SEC measurables. Not wanting to hit is a big problem for a football player.

When he went into the portal, he lost his scholarship. If he returns he doesn't automatically get his scholarship back. That applies to everyone in the portal.

Not sure what happened to him mentally to play so small like that.

That's our choice. If we choose to close that door, his scholarship is no longer good. It's only good for the remainder of the semester in which they enter the portal.

Given how bad our RBs were in pass protection a year ago, I’m going to assume it wasn’t that and that he’s not that great with the ball in his hands
