Sorry, I refuse to be happy not winning the division.

When we win the division you will refuse to be happy until we win the seccg. When we win the seccg you will refuse to be happy until we win the national championship. Then you will require a repeat to confirm you are happy.

I am happy when I see a general trend of improvement, but I am easily amused.

Then after we win the national championship he'll refuse to be happy that all our recruits aren't 5*

UT caught a big break by not winning the SEC east---another blowout loss to alabama would put the vols in the taxslayer or belk bowls. Alabama will beat florida easily. When ut takes care of vandy, they will be ranked higher and head to the sugar bowl!!

Does the CFP standings take into account SOS computer rankings? Ohio won tonight and will play for the MAC championship and Appy St, VT, Florida, and Bama will or still can play for conference championships.

I would absolutely love the opportunity to play Michigan.

It won't happen unfortunately.

With how many Big 10 teams are ranked in the top 10 (and only two of them likely losing over the next two weeks), it pretty much guarantees that the Big 10 is getting an Orange Bowl slot.

Which, by contract, means the Citrus Bowl would turn into an SEC v ACC matchup this year.

The only way you might get Michigan might be Auburn beating Alabama so soundly that they jump above a now two-loss Michigan

There are no computer SOS rankings. It's done by committee.

UT is getting props with the committee for their win against VT being such a good one (which was partially why A&M even with the same number of losses fell so hard: it's OOC win over UCLA didn't turn out to be a good one and was nowhere near strong enough to balance out that two of its losses were to a 4-win Miss St and a 5-win Ole Miss).

As mid major teams, Ohio and Appy St being 8-win teams likely doesn't really do terribly too much in the effect of raising UT up with the committee's rankings. Nor likely does just "being in their conference races" or anything like that at this point.
