I'm a little surprised to be honest. I bet they are recruiting him as a CB or maybe a return specialist. He is pretty small.

I just got done reading his article on Volquest and watching his video.

Boy is he small but he straight lays out some big receivers in his videos.

I love some of these guys we are getting but we seriously are running low on numbers and we need more DT's and LB's...I hope all the numbers shake out.

The great Yimmy Hyams has confirmed the offer, so he was probably offered sometime in the second trimester of his incubation... right after the sex was determined

Obviously, Carlos has been dead on the money with this for the last week or so. Young was offered this morning. And yes, you should expect news from him in the next 24 hours.

Young thought last night that an offer was coming today or on Sunday. He got it today

Saw him play earlier this year. I think he abolutely belongs at UT. He is not an every down back, but could be a spark at return man or he may be able to spend some time in the slot.

if he was offered then he needs to have committed right on the spot or retract the offer imo

As bad as we have been returning kicks over the past few years, I am elated we offered a home town kid who is great at it.

Being able to play CB is a bonus as far as I'm concerned. Lets just get someone who can find a lane and get upfield again.

He is a little small and unorthodox -- but Stanford offered / planned on using him at corner I believe. I really like the Stanford staff and what they are accomplishing both in recruiting and on the field and if they liked him.... Would potentially be a strong candidate for a kick returner as well. Since he is in our back yard and we are low on numbers - I say not a bad decision.

Makes it all the better, kid is explosive, and I'm anxious to see what he can do. Once our O-line develops, I can see him hiding behind them and exploding through holes with LB's still trying to spy him. He may be short, but kid is not small. He has deceptive power and great quickness although he does not possess great straight line speed

You have to offer this guy. In the first game of the year he had 6 TDs. 3 rushing, 2 receiving, a Kick off return, and blocked a punt. He does it all. He has over 1,000 yards and 15 TD in limited time due to blowouts in 5 games. He definitely deserved an offer

He is a Dexter McCluster type imo. I could see him doing big things. If nothing else, not many teams have a scout team RB that can prepare them like this kid can. Great pickup IMO... assuming he commits

You don't offer kids scholarships in hopes that they can run the scout team.
