Beano is a hick from Oak Ridge that the imbecile Tony Basilio added to his pathetic radio show.

And yet, that show has either broken or been out in front of more stories just in the past six months or so than any other station in the market. Not saying that it was necessarily a high bar to climb over, but they reported a basketball recruiting story earlier this year (either Maze or Negadu... going off of memory) a full week before Jimmy Hyams did, as he spent the entire time saying he had no information and downplayed the story. Also had Chris Low on the day the Lofton cancer story broke before anybody else.

They are not the most polished group, but they are just regular Joes that just happen to be fans of Tennessee that live and die on every play... like most of us do.

Compared to Dearstone (the KY Wildcat and LV fan) or Jimmy Hyams, they are the best thing on the air in this market by a country mile. And frankly, compared to what I've heard from Nashville a few weeks back on 104.5 or even in Philly with Howard Eskin, I don't see how Basilio or Beano are any worse than those guys in the larger markets...

Beano is going to listen to his wax pressings while stimulating himself to silent movies starring either Lillian Gish or Mary Pickford.

Evidently, Beano (real name Jeff Henderson) had a job opportunity in Oak Ridge that he could not pass by, considering the long term financial benefits for his family. He said he will still do the show on Fridays and an occasional Monday.

This is the only show to listen to in Knoxville. The state run radio is like listening to Vol Calls all day long, Micky Dearstone especially. Not a big fan of Hyams either, but he is at least open to the idea that this could be Fulmer's last year.
