Who does Pruitt have right now that's better than JG? If Shrout or Maurer had played, our record would more than likely be quite a bit worse than 8-5, with no bowl at all. Pruitt's job would be greatly threatened this yr with no bowl game. JG this yr was and is our best option until Maurer and/or Shrout or Bailey shows they are better. A majority of Maurer's passes are interceptions just waiting to happen. Shrout or Maurer are not at all ready. Til we see what Baily's got, putting jg on the field this year shows that Pruitt is a good qb evaluator. JG was his best chance of winning, going to a bowl and thus keeping his job so that he can continue the task of returning Tennessee to football relevancy. It is what it is. As bad as JG can be half the time, he is still a better choice for winning than the other options.

It’s hilarious that you chastise me for saying something about Pruitt’s job being tied to his QB choice then say his job would be threatened with no bowl game. Says who? You? Are you the AD? You are a shining example of hypocrisy. Congratulations on that.

The internet has unleashed a wave of democracy in which you shouldn't be allowed to participate. A considerable number of posters on this board expected a bowl game this yr. JG gave us a bowl game. Wouldn't have happened without him given the performance of Shrout and Maurer. Your beginning to show anger . Take your own advice and "lighten up Francis."

You are so right again! You’re too good at this internet thing. I crown you champion of the internet. By the way, do you not think a considerable number of posters agree with my point? Even if they do, it really doesn’t matter because it’s up to the AD anyway. That’s the one thing you said that actually made sense. But I came to share an opinion, just like you did. The difference is I can handle the fact you have one and for some reason you can’t handle that I have one. You have a great day and may all your dreams come true.

I do have one more question for you fine sir (or madam as I don’t know you). You did read where I said QB choice AND 6-6 right? If he picks JG and we go 10-2 no one will care. If he picks JG and we go 6-6 he will catch a ton of heat. Just like you said a bowl game was expected this year do you not think a record of better than 6-6 will he expected next year? I would explain the word “AND” to you but I’m going to go out on a limb and assume you understand that word AND that you just chose to ignore the rest of what I said. Again, may all your dreams come true sir (or madam).

Surely you see the utter stupidity in saying it’s not up to me who plays QB yet then claim yourself Lord on the Internet and say I shouldn’t be allowed to participate, right? That’s rhetorical. I’m guessing you are young and likely don’t know that tha means since you are struggling with the word “AND”. Look it up. That can be your word for the day and impress your mom. Rhe-tor-i-cal.
