Many of their top candidates (who would probably be our candidates as well) are dropping out probably because no coach wants to join a team in a covid pandemic year. Most likely, Auburn will be settling on Kevin Steele as their new head coach. That would be the equivalent of UT firing CJP to promote Jim Chaney to be head coach...

Be. We could’ve went to freeze behind the scenes and negotiated. The way to hire a coach is to identify your dream candidate and then absolutely sell out for that individual. Let him that that he’s your no1,2,3,etc. sometimes these ads have to sell the candidate in all the university has to offer etc. but I believe we absolutely could’ve had freeze. Still maybe could

I'd rather try and maybe fail that for sure fail by standing still. Auburn has a history of making moves like this and it working out well for them. By being bold they didn't allow their program to go completely in the toilet under Tuberville when it became clear he wasn't going to be able to compete with LSU and Alabama.

Literally, any dork could win 3 games with this roster. Keeping Pruitt isn't some achievement. We could hire ANYONE out there. We could hire half the high school coaches in Knox County and we'd at least be able to tell ourselves this new coach "just needs time." No one could do worse with this roster. No one.

The administration has the power to end all of the questions around the program. Why they haven’t come and and stated that Pruitt is gonna be back if that’s what is going to happen is absolutely beyond me. Not sure what the hold up is?
