It sill boggles the mind that Georgia is still ranked above us. as is Texas Tech for that matter.

the UGA ranking is kind of odd but they play UF next week :birgits_giggle:. Couple more wins and we'll be fine just fine

You're not impressed by their non-conf schedule (Youngstown St, Akron, and Kent St)?

Yeah, those last 4 ball games that Ohio St has will truly expose this team one way or the other (Penn St, Wisco, Illi, Michigan)

Florida plays Kentucky. That's why we are the Lincoln Financial Game. I guess we will see pigs flying over Bryant Denny Stadium this Saturday. I never thought this game would ever end up on that network. Tis a shame.

Sorry meant to say next game. At least this one is on TV.

Texas has lost to (4) Oklahoma, and UNRANKED K. State, and sit at 18.
Having beaten NO ONE.

The Vols have lost to (9) Cal and (14) Florida, but find themselves at 22. Having beaten (20) Georgia.

Looks like the media finally forgave Michigan for the App St. incident and the thumping from Oregon.

I'm a little surprised that LSU dropped to 5 in both polls. I'd have voted them #4, ahead of Oklahoma.

LSU has more impressive victories -- the blowout against VT, and the win over Florida...and their loss in 3 OTs at Kentucky isn't as bad as Oklahoma's loss to unranked Colorado.

the real surprise...is the media member that still gave LSU a first place vote

Michigan is playing well now.

Sure, losing by 21 really hurt UGA...

Don't forget, Texas got pasted by unraked K. State.

K State should be ranked and IS in the AP. They're a pretty good team. I see no problem with the Texas vote. They were very competitive against Oklahoma.

Coaches Poll is a joke.

The people that "vote" don't have time to vote the way they should, everyone knows it. Everyone knows that for the most part, assistants vote for the head coaches, yet this idiotic poll is part of the BCS?

Give me a break.

If any two polls should be part of the BCS, it's the AP and the Harris. Although the Media poll is very biased too.

Their loss to the 'powerhouse' known as Kansas shows how good they are.

"Oh, but Kansas is undefeated! They average 50-something points per game!"

That won't last, look at who they've played so far.

South Florida with ANY first place votes is idiocy.

Does anyone REALLY think they are the best team in the country?

What have they done that says they are not the best team in the country? They have played a decent schedule (better than OSU and BC) and they are undefeated. If I was voting I would put Arizona St. and USF numbers 1 and 2, just don't know in what order.

Wait...

In that case... let's look at who we've beaten... Our one 'quality win' was a blowout over a Georgia team that was on a 6 game SEC East losing streak, and almost lost to Vandy for the second year in a row last night.
