I heard Tabb turned his ankle in practice this past week. Not a good time for an injury.

Tabb shouldn't be. He is a great defensive asset with a scoring touch

I think "scoring touch" is a bit of an overstatement. He's averaging 2.6 points in 17 minutes. Not exactly lighting it up.

He is great on defense, though.

the guy doesn't look for a shot. we could use another of him in our 4/5 men. they consistently take shots that they should never consider.

Tabb won't get shut out of the rotation. Some of you guys don't pay enough attention to our basketball program and it's embarrassing. Pearl has already increased Tabb's minutes and said we needed more players like him. He's not going to cut Ramar out of the rotation and won't cut Howell out as long as Ramar struggles. That leaves a 10 man rotation if he wants to get Prince 'some' minutes.

JP won't start this year unless someone gets injured or something crazy happens.

what am I missing...why does that mean he is that much better than expected?

I only meant that if he comes in and earns a starting spot, then he will evidently be more talented that the person who's spot he took. If he can take a Senior's spot away then he's got to be pretty awesome. I really don't expect Prince to start, but if he can earn that, then I think that's pretty impressive.

Has anybody else noticed that every time Prince is brought up to CBP he raves about his (J.P) versatility? If he can play 4 spots, like advertised, he will play and be an asset. Start? Who knows, a lot depends on chemistry. I wouldn't be surprised if he's getting around 20 min. per come March.

Sat night will be interesting. We will see JP for the first time. I am looking forward to it. I think he will bring some energy.

He may not be a starter right away, but I think that JP will definitely get more than just a couple of minutes. Coach Pearl and Coach Forbes both speak very highly of how good he has looked so far.

The only way I see Prince starting is if CBP plays him at the 1 and he proves that he can run a team. Jordan Howell is a top-notch backup, but he simply manages the game, and Ramar Smith has still not proven to me that he can run a team at all. From the sound of it, JP will be used mostly on the wing as a defensive specialist due to his length and quickness, and anything he can give us on the offensive end will be gravy. Im really looking forward to his debut against WKU to see how he meshes and what his possible role will be.
