Schools do make up the conferences, but there is no way the commissioner is going to refer to a coach on whether of not they should play a certain school in a conference challenge when there is a contract and its all about the ratings and money. Plus this matchup will bring great publicity to both schools. Now I can see them not helping Texas A&M in anyway because they bolted for the SEC. I just don't believe[Mulkey possess the kind of power where she can call the Athletic Director, School President or Conference Commissioner and say I do not want my team to face Tennessee in the BIG XII/SEC Challenge. /B]This game will draw to many viewers and I'm sure money talks for the commissioner to say no. Mulkey played us when our team was very young because we had 6 seniors that left Griner senior season. The following season when Griner and the big senior class departed she canceled the series. She knew we had a top recruiting class coming and our team had improved. So she canceled the series. Say what you want, but Mulkey on schedules team that she think her team will beat to boost her winning percentage to look good in the eyes of recruits. We'll see how Baylor's nonconference is this season. If Baylor signs Cox, I bet she schedules all the top teams again.
Think of the kind of power Coach Pat had at UT, that's the kind of power + that Kim has at Baylor. Ian McCaw (Under Armour AD of the Year) and Judge Starr (lifted Bill Clinton's law license) listen to each and every word Kim says, BMDs make sure of that.
As for Commissioner Bob Blowsme (lol), name speaks for itself. He's so afraid of Kim he sent an assistant to Waco to present this season's Championship Trophy...she still ripped him a new one in person (he can't duck the Conference Tourney)..
