Just finished watching the first two episodes. While I'm pro-BSG I got to say the redesigned Galactica is not sitting well with me. I know she is supposed to be the best and newest ship of the line but it doesn't even remotely look like the ship we saw in BSG. CIC is radically changed as well as the flight pods.

It's been so long since I've seen BSG, but I imagine Galactica went through quite a few refits in the 40 odd years between series. Is this still a "pilot" for a new series on SyFy?

SyFy decided not to move forward with it as a regular TV show. It will be an on line series and SyFy will release all the episodes as a movie in 2013. It pains me that the channel decides to make crappy made for TV movies instead of this.

I watched the first episode. It's not bad at all. I'm a huge fan of the Ron Moore re-imagined series, and this fits in pretty well with his vision for the show. I figure it will be picked up as a show after it airs on Syfy. The first episode has almost a million views since it was posted yesterday. There's already a built in audience and Syfy would be foolish not to take advantage of it.

I'm pretty sure I flipped by one night and saw three different movies about giant killer piranhas scheduled. I've given up on SyFy to the point I only watch it for the Twilight Zone marathons on holidays.
