Is buying a parking pass a must? Will there be shuttles from those parking areas?

There will be parking all along the volunteer parkway I'm sure. However with the amount of fans coming I would get there very early to guarantee that. Some people may be surprised at how far they will be walking.

Some will park in Asheville

General question, what's plan b if the 20 days isn't enough time to get the field ready? After reading the plan(idea), there's a lot of trucks/dirt/rocks to be brought in, then you gotta figure compacting, leveling adding a crown with the assumption of perfect weather! That's a lot of prep work in a short amount of time.

Someone sent this to me earlier:

WHAT KIND OF BATTLE IS BRISTOL GOING TO BE? Other than the future of AD Dave Hart, the elephant in the room right now at the UT Athletics Department is the game at Bristol Motor Speedway. There is growing concern that the folks at the track don't know what they're doing. The huge concern is if the field is going to be playable. The track can't begin work until the NASCAR race is done a week from tomorrow night. That leaves little margin for error. What about weather? What about someone not fulfilling what they said they could do? We are in uncharted territory with this. The NFL, by far the mightiest sports entity in our land, suffered the embarrassment of cancelling the Hall of Fame game last weekend due to field conditions. We're not trying to create an issue, just reflecting what insiders are telling us.

Don't think that will be a problem with the hundreds of people working every single day. People 10x smarter than most have planned this. Mistakes aren't made with this much money on the line.

Bristol will have the field ready. These guys are some of the best in the countries with facilities. Don't forget they have twice turned the track into a dirt track by bringing in tons and tons of dirt.

Although I do wonder why they didn't petition NASCAR for an earlier race. This weekend is an off week for NASCAR. It seems like they should have met with them to see if they could run their race on the 13th, and have the off week the following week. Would have given them 4 weeks to get ready for the game. Although I am confident they can do it in 3.
