Yea I got the feeling that Chaz decided so late in the transfer process, that he was like the last girl at the bar a closing time. He had good stats but level of competition was very low.
Having said that, I’m always excited about a guy that can shoot the 3. That’s been a consistent weakness with our team over the past few years

Chaz is one of the most accurate free throw shooters that UT has ever had. But if he can’t get to the line it won’t do a lot of good.

I hope that he’s much more than catch and shoot from 3 as well.

Actually, I saw it as the opposite. most people were at the very least mildly hyped about him from what I remember. I remember when the other transfer we had committed backed out because JJJ was returning folks weren't that messed up about it because of DK.

What?

I don't think anybody expected him to be SECPOTY, but the expectation was absolutely for him to be an impact player. One of the better players at his position in the entire conference. I heard a lot of people saying "He can be the kind of consistent scorer that Barnes has lacked over the last several years." He ended up wildly surpassing expectations that were kind of high already.
