Argentina-Not in Europe.are you serious? you think those so called "Dream Teams" loaded with no-shootin driver first swing men lost because of the tenacious D being played by the Euros. Please, the Euros zoned them up like every respectable coach with the opportunity would. Our lack of D and pathetic shooting doomed us. UT can shoot the 3 and against those slow footed zones, I would expect an athlete like Chism to offensive board almost at will. Don't know the particulars, but just don't like a stat line that shows 4 points from our "middle presence" when we're scoring 100 per game.
It won't be hard at all.
I wish we had been able to hold off this trip until after school started, like USC and some other schools have done. That way, Smith, Prince, and Tatum could have played.
The NCAA takes the position that a player should have to attend their first game before they compete. How attending a week of class, then going to Mexico, is better than a European trip that occurs during the summer is lost on me. However, anytime my logic is in conflict with the 'AA's, I feel good about my position.Agreed - I don't know how far in advance they have to plan these things, so it might have been difficult to know if an impact player like Prince or Smith (esp. Smith) was going to be ineligible for the trip at the time.
Seems the main purpose is experience for the kids and bonding (trite but true). Would be nice for Tyler, JP and the frosh to join them.
What's the NCAA's logic on that rule anyway? Seems dumb.
