Melvin Goins says they are poor 3pt defending team and will get beat by anyone who can shoot the 3 consistently...

Nice deflection, but my point remains.

My point remains that I was defending his coaching ability and you made a snide comment about his lack of recruiting. Your deflection must have been kosher though right?

Hes struggled with recruiting. He has not had much talent since. He has talent now and is probably the most experienced team in the East besides maybe Vandy. I agree that 7th is a little high but there is no reason to think they cant finish the season there.

I was responding directly to your point about his recruiting. Where's the deflection?

Most people consider everyone on his two title teams "soft". Noah and Brewer most notably. Add in Lee Humphrey (a short 3pt shooter) and you have a team full of what you mentioned. The only member of that team that was considered a hard nosed player was Horford and even he was undersized.

You really think Noah and Green were soft? What about Chris Richard?

#7 probably is too high at this point but if you can't see how Florida has the makings of a top 10 team this season then you haven't been paying attention. Florida was a perennial top 10 team before the 04s came and now that the program is finally rebuilt following the mass exodus of the 2006-07 season and subsequent years of attrition and injuries they are ready to excel again. Should be fun to watch.

Wrong.

Yeah so, nothing has changed from what most of us were saying about Florida.

Also, Memphis has let some really really bad teams take them to the wire. Ark State? AP?

Ugh.

Ugh.

Dont remind me. Both games were because our team allowed inferior opponents to make huge runs. We led Arky St 23-5 at one point and spanning the last three minutes of the first half and 5 minutes of the second vs APSU, they went on a 17-0 run. At one point we trailed APSU last night by 15. It was a sickening display to say the least.

One good thing was that our redshirt got his first minutes last night and looked solid. Seems like he will contribute right away in a limited role.

What happened with Angel Garcia?

He got an offer from a Spanish national team. People rumored that he was going to be academically ineligible after Christmas anyway but that is pure speculation. He was really not happy with his role. Hes always been a shooter and ball handler for a big man. he was needed to be big on the boards and thats not his game.

some people on TOS seem to think the Vols are going to drop completely out of the Top 25. What a turn around.

They should. Those losses were pretty bad, and everyone here watched them, so I am not going to go into why they were so bad.

On a different note I see you are a Preds fan. Do you know if the games that aren't on TV, are streamed on the net?

I'd check channelsurfing. I usually just listen on the radio anyway. I have DirecTV in Knoxville and they dropped FoxSports South, the channel that most Preds games come on.
