This is why I like Posey he keeps it real. All you people overreact over everything and it only hurts us with recruiting. You guys speculating IF the staff will tell people to look around is just plain stupid when you know most of these recruits read this board. Make them feel loved if they're thinking about being part of our team don't hate.

Nobody's hatin. It is the reality though. If there is a better option at a given position, Dooley owes it too all the players (incoming and current) to field the best team possible. I'm sure Alan want's to play alongside the best in the country.

With that said, your not going anywhere Alan! :thumbsup:

That's funny, I spend most of my time on here reading rumor, hearsay, provocation, posturing, pontification, holier than thou slams, outright lies, statements about what my brother's maid's best friend heard. . , ancient breaking news by Jimmy Hyams, Rod Wilks jokes, elementary school putdowns, lover's spats, shameless flirting, one poster's group of disciples fighting another's, people restating the obvious for the tenth time, UT fanaticism, unbridled optimism, gloom and doom, coach lovers, coach haters, recruitnicks, star gazers, star haters, "Why can't we all just get along?" whiners, and "You and the horse you rode in on" tough guys.

I agree with your statement but people on message board shouldn't speculate which recruits will be asked to look around. Everyone knows the recruits come to this site and you never know who you will piss off by posting which recruits will be asked to look around. Think about it if you're a recruit and Dooley is telling you that you are a key part to the class and then you come on here and see that the fan base is thinking you're a second tier player and not good enough to be part of this class, it's a huge turnoff. It's hard enough for the coaches to recruit kids all I'm saying is don't make it harder on them. As for Posey I like that he can joke around by saying he's looking around too bc he knows it's all BS but that's my point anyone on here can read this board and even if you're not talking about them, they might start thinking about it and get the idea they might be asked to look around too.

I find comical the douchequest apologists who like to rip Tony and X. If all those Hubbs whores knew who X really was they would piss all over their Xbox and WoW nonsense.

No one has an inside scoop, this is a bunch of high school kids, many with delusional parents, who are more vulnerable to peer pressure than any other time in their life.

It's all a big guessing game. Hubbs is guessing the same as X is.

I read Basillo from time to time but he jumps with any rumor he hears before trying to get any confirmation and ends up with egg on his face a lot, ie the Lovie Smith saga, multiple big fish expeditions. X was in the know with the former coaching staff but has been off more this year. I still read Tony's site every once in a while but I take anything I see with a large grain of salt.

Did anyone actually read the x post? All it said was something to the effect that you have to wonder if Dooley would like to have a couple of the early offers back. Didn't claim to have any information to that effect, even.

I wasn't referring to X's post in Basillio's blog. I was referring to what Tony passed along verbally on his show today about a conversation he had with X last night.

I just take his stuff as possibilites and maybe they are a stretch, and most never come true but where there is smoke there is fire. You need Hubbs and Basillo, When Hubbs says it is confirmed and you can believe it, when X says it you just TIFWIW and speculate.JMO

Just like Hubbs was wrong on Arnett, just like he was wrong with us passing on Paul when people said that was BS. Also, he was wrong on Derek King, too right? Apparently, you don't follow Hubbs too much. He doesn't throw baseless rumors out there like everyone else seems to do and people on his own board get mad at him if he doesn't throw information out there on a minute by minute basis. You know why? Because he gives information when he knows it!

the only reason i would ever care about telling recruits to look elseware is that it burns bridges. other than that, if we can get someone better we should take advantage.
