Can you imagine how good this team will be in a few seasons when these 18 freshmen learn the college game?

Give Coach S. two or three seasons of good recruiting and good coaching and we will have a consistently top # 15 team.

I'm coming in town for the Saturday game. It's my first UT baseball game since I was in college 15 years ago. I'm super excited! I'm bringing my two young boys. Is there anything I should make sure my 5 year-old sees/does?

Fair warning...they've added a playground at the ballpark. Cool for the kids no doubt. But it might alter your game watching session.

Contrary to their belief. South Carolina traditionally stunk at baseball before their coach and Corbin invented the sport about 10-years ago.

Some of my fondest memories as a student was heckling Gamecock players and coaches and having a few gloves thrown at me.

With that said; I have a feeling something special is overdue for this team. They are obviously close even if they are young. They should have one a game last weekend (possibly 2) and I think the first home series against a big conference opponent will focus the young team even more.

The best thing to see about a young team is their clutch hitting. We had senior laden-teams that couldn't hit a lick with 2-outs and this team is good at it.

The weather will be comparatively great this weekend. Not guaranteeing a series win because baseball is so dependent on luck and such. Just think they'll play really well.

I see the Vols have shaken up their pitching rotation. Will be tougher to win on Friday now.

Bruin Vol has been advocating this move for the last couple of weeks. It may set up a better match up for Godley but a lot of times the Friday game sets the tone for the weekend. Sure don't need to get blown out in the opener.

South Carolina will likely counter with their ace Jordan Montgomery on Sunday. Holbrook said he felt "fantastic" in a bullpen session this week coming off an elbow injury. It's hard to pinpoint the motive behind the Godley switch.

We go from one fire to another.
Be excellent if the Vols could win a series vs a top 25 ranked team including one in the SEC.

Hit up the middle. Runners first and second. Come on Vols make the Gamecocks pay.
