Tennessee team added four junior college transfers to its 2013 signing class, including three right-handed pitchers and one of the nation's top outfielders.

that's a lot of RHP......During the gorilla days there was more left handed bats than there are now for whatever reason.

Are OF is going to be deadly! If Kyle comes, then we are looking at our weekend guys among these three pitchers and Kyle.

It's obvious that Dave tried as hard as he could with just high school guys to avoid the problems that partially plagued Delmonico. I don't think he has anyone on the roster at the end of season that would be SEC starting pitchers next season.

Vanderford will be a Sophomore and his numbers are awesome against the competition we know in California HS and JUCO.

Woot!!!!!

Maybe some of our RHP's are going to find a new home ??? I know a lot of them are freshman .. But with the way they pitched ?? GO VOLS !!!!!!!

Maybe some of them will learn to throw left handed?

They just need to learn a good change up to combat the LHB.

Underrated post IMO. Changing speeds, spots and a change up will do the trick on the lefties. Set them up for a nice, low slider under the hands and they will swing right over it.

I agree with all you said and would only add this...We need the arms, it was by far and away the biggest problem and CDS has delivered more arms. I'm holding out hope that Kidd can help too.

The change-up is by far Serrano's favorite pitch. During all of the fall, pitchers are only allowed to throw fastballs and change-ups; no sliders, curveballs, etc. Our new guys will do just fine with his coaching. Looking forward to good things this fall.

I have a feeling that CDS was beating the bushes for some "tougher" kids.

I think we had talent on the roster but that talent had an awful lot of trouble throwing strikes when the rubber met the road. Dave not only wants a guy to throw strikes but to throw low strikes and let the defense do the work.

the "dead bats" make hitting the low ball out practically impossible.
