Stallings says he did not understand why UTK only rushed 3 most of the game because he thought they could've got to Wilson with more pressure.
In response to a caller, Tony says that UTK had the better players but Bama wanted it more.
Tony says that he thinks UTK is not blitzing/bringing the house because the secondary is so weak. (nothing new, but corroborates the opnions of others).
Doug Matthews says the most concerning issues were:
1. apparent lack of adjustments at halftime
2. not scoring in the second half
3. not running Hardesty
Doug wonders why they could get "up" for UGA but not Bama.
It's only an hour show, and it's really supposed to be a broad look at "southern football" (ACC, SEC, some C-USA and Big East, etc.). Today all of the callers were asking about UTK's coaches, except one Kentucky fan. Doug Matthew's Big Orange Saturdays on Sat. morning should be good. Doug is one of the few legitimate insiders who is not afraid to say it like it is about the state of UTK football. My opinion is that Doug is more concerned with journalistic integrity than he is with towing the party line for the Phil and the UTAD.Call in and tell him that John Pennington didn't question Fulmer's current skill in the paper on Gameday Saturday.
how revolutionary would it be to take what the defense gives us? you know, QB check to effective plays or Cutcliffe recognize what the D is giving us and take advantage of it.It's only an hour show, and it's really supposed to be a broad look at "southern football" (ACC, SEC, some C-USA and Big East, etc.). Barnhart closed by stating that he expects UTK to run the ball early and often against SC, much moreso than they did against Bama anyway.

i don't think so. we still do so much checking with the sidelines, i don't think Ainge checks out of all that many plays. i know he does, but i haven't seen it with enough regularity to say that "that's the reason".Does anything that Ainge is checking off at the line, from running plays to passing plays and that's the reason for Foster is not getting the ball more?
