Barnett: Darrell Taylor 'most athletic player on the team'

Great compliment coming from Barnett, but I'm not so sure I'm buying that Darrell Taylor is the most athletic player on the team, if he is, he'll be in the rotation, no?

We have an embarrassment of riches at DE. When someone like Lewis who is very good and gets several sacks in relief/mop up is barely holding on at 3-deep on the depth chart, life is good at DE.

I've read where Vereen, Phillips, Taylor, Kongbo have all stepped up their game this season and how much Barnett has improved is probably a tightly guarded secret. Yee Haw!

I believe Barnett was banged up last year vs the gators. I know he was not playing as I was expecting him to play. If he comes into our game with them on 9/24 remotely healthy, I believe he will put on a show worthy of some the best spectacles that occurred at the Roman Coliseum back in antiquity.

Good to have as many dline as possible, but hard to believe Taylor wouldn't be "starting" over Austin smith at slb THIS year if he is put there from the start.

In regards to Barnett last year, let's not forget that he also lost his counterpart in Maggitt (maggitt definitely took some heat off of Barnett in barnetts freshman season) and Barnett STILL matched his sack total from his freshman season. Now that the whole line is reinforced, I expect Barnett to pass that sack record set by White (RIP..)

“I still don't know,” Reeves-Maybin said. “You can't simulate a game. I haven't hit anybody full speed yet. It's something that I have put my faith in. I trust our training room and strength staff. I have progressed well and haven't had any setbacks yet. When it's time to go full speed, I can't hold back.

Wish JRM would consider playing limited snaps in the 1st 3 games as we can win those without him. Really need him at his best for those first 4 SEC games. Same with Tuttle.
No brainier, surely the coaches aren't stupid enough to risk another unnecessary injury to any of the leaders / main guys we are counting on come crunch time.
