We know this is their last year.
And they are playing like it.

Barnett is starting his sack party early this season. Has 4 sacks the past two games!

Vereen with pressures and fumble recoveries.

These guys are responsible for our late game surge on defense.
They're showing guys like
Kongbo
Phillips
Taylor
Smith
what it takes to get the job done.

These two are about to power through A&M and Bama!

They're becoming dominant.

Love they way they are playing. Best DE starters we have had in quite some time.

We know that these guys don't pay much attention to the media, but you have to imagine they've heard comparisons between which ends are better..Hall/Garrett or Barnett/Vereen. Would love to see both of them get even more of a fire lit under them to prove all those on the Myles Garrett bandwagon wrong.

I love watching Barnett and Vereen sack the quarterback, hurry the QB into interceptions, tackle for losses and flat out play dominating football!

LV, what are your thoughts on how our respective lines match up? I think Barnett in particular will be able to beat their LT and get to Knight. What worries me is our OL against their ends.

It's identical.
Hall and Garret can close the pocket just as well as Barnett and Vereen.

Kendrick is playing against an injured Garrett. That will help.
Chance Hall vs Dsheon Hall is going to be tough.

A&M is good on the interior DLine as well. Just like us. We rotate 5 with no drop off at DT ( Kmac,Obrien,Vickers,Tuttle,Kongbo)

Theres no glaring advantage for either side in the trenches.

A&M has a good oline, but so has UT the past two weeks.

A&M's D Line is benefiting from good linebacker play. They are second in the nation in tackles for loss. We NSM. I only care about when the game is on the line play and in that category our DL has been boss. Well said OP.

A top tier D Line can take you great places. Just ask 2013 and 2014 Mizzou

You said it Duncan! That's 100.

Combine that with a QB that can extend drives and good special teams, it makes a good team. Hard to beat.

And now we have WRs who can make plays...

We're pretty close to having a complete team. Even with the injuries.

Barnett and Vereen are clutch.
They both have quickness, but then they really throw lineman off with their physicality.

Vereen is 6'2" 250 and i see him bulling through 310 lb tackles every game.

Barnett does whatever he wants.

If our lines are a push, I honestly think the QB advantage on paper has to go to Dobbs. I think he clearly exceeds Knight in his ability to make plays under pressure. But that may be offset by A&M's other skill players. Going to be a real test, and I truly believe this is the game we MUST have a better first half performance if we are going to prevail.

Vereen is quietly having an absolutely dominant season so far. I don't know his exact stats, but he's always getting pressure on the QB, making tfl's, recovering fumbles, etc...

From what I've seen, Knight is playing loose. He's having a blast. Dobbs is more dialed in. He's more critical imo, because were always playing catch up.

I think our experience - as a team- grinding till the end give us an advantage.

We can wear them down with our resiliency. That will keep it close. And the closer the points are the more advantage we have.

I don't know about Garrett and Hall late in the games...

But Barnett and Vereen make their living late in the 4th.

Barnett made a comment today.
"We don't win our whole season in one game".

In other words don't look ahead. Every game is meaningful and worth effort! Yes I do believe we overlooked UGA a bit. But we're dialed in to the Aggies.

Our boys know how good the Aggies are. They are aware that they're more complete than any team we've played.

Defense is going to smother A&M first few drives.

Not to mention forcing fumbles, recovering them for touchdowns, batting passes down and all the other good things they do that come from getting to the quarterback besides sacks and tfl.

Florida is better than A&M in the secondary and at LB. A&Ms line is better but not by much. On offense we are better at QB, RB, and equal on the Oline. their receivers overall are probably a little better. Our special teams is best in the country. I like TN big in this game and finally a 4 quarter performance that we have been waiting for. 41-20 vols.

Im waiting for the d-line to have attitude from the first whistle to the last. I know they can just keep waiting on it.

Not sure we're better at RB.
Not sure they're better at WR.

I think were a mentally tougher team. But i think they have more talent. Not by much.

We might hold them to 35... We will have to scrap and claw for 35 or more.

our best rb doesn't get any carries.
i actually agree that our receivers might be better.

I think we are mentally stronger and have more talent across the board.

Special teams? We might have an edge there, perhaps?

So am I. And I'm waiting particularly for Phillips and KMAC to start dominating. I'm also expecting a lot more from Taylor. There should be zero drop off when Barnett and Vereen take a break
