:laugh1: Close, but no cigar, Freaky! Unless this thread refers to an inflammation at the margin of the eyelids of the internet, you're not through, yet.

You know I'm just bustin' your balls -- LIO is slack in her duties.

I ordered one of the Dell Systems that was posted on anandtech the other day. Got a coupon code from someone in the forum and ordered a 2.4ghz celeron, 256mb ram (too small I know), 80gb HD, and a 15" flat panel LCD monitor for something like $297 (including taxes and shipping). I figured for that price I could find a use for it even though it's not a screamer or anything.

Yeah but you throw a stick of value Ram into that and you've got a pretty decent setup for very cheap. When you can find them, those Dell coupons are amazing. I just ordered the 24" LCD monitor. I know I shouldn't have, but it's Dell's fault for offering financing to a guy like me!

BTW, Smokey_Vol!!

My parents just bought a new dell... P4 2.4 Ghz, 512MB RAM, 19" LCD, 80 GB HD, free printer... ... Just over $300.

I didn't believe it until I saw the machine... I had to put the burner from my mom's old machine in this last weekend.

They pretty much bought a monitor, and got the computer with it for free in my opinion.

Yeah I know what you mean freak.

I just got a good deal on an acer laptop from Circuit City. Sempron 2800+, 512 MB RAM, 40 GB HD, DVD/CD-RW combo... $460 after taxes, and a $150 mail-in rebate. There was a big sale on them, and I happened to get the display, so that saved me another $50.

I'm really happy with it except the battery life is at BEST 1:30.

Well, I want to play both PC and PS2 games on it. I'll attach a pic once I get it up and running on Monday. Plus they said it was only $29 per month :D
