I've been in Tuscaloosa for the last few days leading up to Saturday. It has virtually been dead quiet around here regarding anything about the Tennessee game. Talking to fans on the Strip, around town, the local media and every sportstalk show on the radio is hyping the LSU game and that is what all of the talk is around here. This is no exaggeration--it's strange but I hope it comes back to bite them.

I would love for nothing more than for the Bammers to not talk about Tennessee all week but them be forced to talk about them for the rest of the year when Tennessee ruins their title hopes.

Keep overlooking this Tennessee team. V,B.

If Tennessee wasn't a MASH unit right now, you'd be hearing more talk. And I promise you the coaches and players aren't thinking about LSU.

Unfortunately I don't think Saban will let the team over look us, fans or no fans.

Sure, they think we are easy. Maybe, maybe not. But, it would be grand if we sneaked up on them and they WOULD talk about us for years to come. I am proud of our team for playing hard; all we can ask.

Just got back from Nashville, and Vandy fans are sure they'll beat us. So I wouldn't be surprised at all if some Bammers are looking ahead. Bama's 2s and 3s are better than a lot of teams' 1s. I'd say we'll be seeing a lot of them, since Bama will want to avoid injuries before LSU.

The only thing Vandy is gonna beat is something i can't say on this board.

Your assuming they looked ahead. Fact is they were **** that year and it was 4 years ago.

Still was a Saban-led team and that was your argument. If you want to change it to "great teams don't look ahead," then your defense would then make sense because that's what you're trying to use as evidence.

Even if they are looking ahead, it won't matter. If Bray were healthy it might be different, but he's not. Only thing we can hope for is if they turn the ball over 6 times and our defense steps up and maybe Young can take a couple to the house.

No. The point was that Bama didn't look past La-Monroe, they just sucked in general and got beat. Losing to a team doesn't mean you overlooked them.

I'm not going to try and get in the heads of an awful team from 4 years ago and figure out if they were looking ahead, or just sucked.

But the fact that you had to go back to Sabans first sorry ass team should tell you something about the point you're trying to make. :hi:

Cute. A Bama fan telling me to get off a Tennessee board.

Anyway, the point is I've been in Tuscaloosa all week listening to the LSU hype. It's strange even with Tennessee being down.

Statistically, he's more correct than you. If you want to support your case with an anomaly, that's fine too.

^^^this

I like this rivalry as much/more than any we have. I just plain old hate Auburn. They're like lap dogs, gnats in your eyes, or flies in a sore. No real threat, but annoying to the nth degree. Now they got a NC and think they're on the same level with BAMA. No way, never! DIE AUBARN!!!!!!:rock::rock::rock:
