Bama v Vols to showcase defenses

Alabama's defense has given up an average of about 60 yards per game on the ground and has more sacks than I care to mention. Yet, overall, Tennessee's defense is statistically rated higher.

Obviously, we will need to air it out to open up the run game but even then, that might not be enough to open up any type of run attack.

I'm thinking this is going to be a defensive chess game with 4 or 5 big plays deciding the game.

Then again, this is Tennessee vs. Alabama, so you could just toss all logic, stats and trends right out the window. There is a reason this game is played on the field.

Hoping for magic, but not getting those hopes too high.

Our offense can be a thing of beauty, and I'll suspect that we have a super aggressive game plan.

This team CAN win this game if everything clicks and this team plays inspired, disciplined football!

Im not sure Tennessee picks up blitzes well enough for it to make a difference.

They will destroy the left side of the line with Williams and Hand.

What stats does Tennessee out perform Bama defense? Maybe pass defense cause bamer opponents throw mostly but anyone seeing these two teams play knows Alabama has the vastly superior defense.

Tennessee is going to have to play their best game on defense by far, best game on offense and best kicking game to have any chance.

Well one good thing is Jeremy Pruitt is running the D and yes it has changed from the D Kirby ran. Pruitt showed last yr he had no answer for Dobbs at UGA granted the athelets were not as good but if Dobbs and crew do what they do we'll be in the game till end. UK and Kent state didn't do much but Ark and USC still put up points. Probably a shootout like the Ole Miss game. We need to be functioning on all cylinders to win this game

The deciding factor will be Shoop vs Kiffin. I have confidence that our offense can score points on their defense. Can Shoop outscheme Kiffin? Lane is a tricky bastard.
