This is hypothetical question. I am not saying Tennessee is going to sweep them, get swept or split. Hypothetically I'm going to say Tennessee splits with them this season. Who would you rather beat? We all hate both fan bases. We all hate both coaches. The Alabama rivalry goes deeper and Florida is currently on top. The rivalry with Florida is right behind Alabama and Alabama is right behind Florida in the rankings.

I would honestly be content with flipping a coin and taking whatever outcome. If I had to choose though... I guess I would rather beat Florida this year. This may sound weird if it even makes sense. The feeling of losing to Alabama is a worse feeling than losing to Florida. The feeling of beating Florida this year would be a better feeling than beating Alabama. So I guess I'd take the excitement of a bigger win while accepting the agony of a more bitter loss. Go big or go home :p

I think i've heard it said on here that beating Florida would be a "wet dream come true". I agree if we could beat Florida this year imagine the impact that would have CLK in his first year to accomplish something of that magnitude it would also boost our standing in the minds of potential recruits..

The question is about taking a split. We have to lose one.

I'd rather not suffer losing to Bammer, if I have to choose who to suffer to, it will be Florida.

If you say we're gonna lose both, hypothetically, but dream big and pick which one you'd rather win, meaning which would feel the best, then maybe I could pick Florida.

If you honestly think UF see's UT as a rival you are dreaming my friend. In the 90's we were rivals. The past several years we have been a door mat, certainly no rival.

I disagree. I think Florida views Tennessee as a rival. It may be one sided as of late but they are still rivals. If Tennessee isn't a rival then I'd say Florida only has two. Georgia and Florida State. Tennessee is more of a rival than Miami imo so that's why I didn't list Miami.

Florida definitely. Even though the Alabama rivalry has more history I live in the heart of Gator country and it sucks. nothing would bring me more pleasure than to beat them. Alabama would just be a bonus.

My point exactly. Rivals are teams you love to hate, that bring out your best, and you relish in victory when you win. Seeing as how UF has dominated us under Myer, they are certainly hated but to make it a true rival we have to at least be competitive and win our share. Something we have not done.

I still disagree. Rivalries should be competitive but playing Florida goes way back. I don't think a decade of dominance puts an end to a rivalry. Ohio State is 7-1 against Michigan in the last 8 games. Ohio State fans consider them a rival. Not long before Michigan went on a streak of 5-0-1 against Ohio Sate. Tennessee is 2-5 against Florida in the last 7 games. Two of Tennessee's losses were 21-20 and 16-7. Tennessee's wins were 30-28 and 24-10. I personally just think Florida fans view it as a rivalry also.

Should note that I don't believe Tennessee-Florida's rivalry matches Ohio State-Michigan's. I was just using them as an example because of how lopsided it's been at times.

Also should have shown when Michigan was 5-0-1 against Ohio State during the 90's. They were 10-2-1 over the span as well. The original rivalry started out 13-0-2 before Ohio State won 3 in a row and then Michigan won 6 in a row making it 19-3-2.

Anyways... I guess it's obvious I believe Tennessee-Florida is a rivalry haha. Can't speak for others. Can only explain my reasoning.

I would say Meyer and Florida. I think Meyer is a little bit better coach then Saban, and more annoying of course.
