Orange lower bowl, white upper bowl. Make it happen!I almost feel like we should checker Neyland again because the stadium looked good, on tv as well. People talked about it and other teams tried to do similar the next week. This is the biggest game in Neyland in years, both undefeated and both highly ranked. This game will be bigger than Florida and we should go all out again, but even more so. I’m sure there will be tons of recruits and many more watching at home.
We elder millennials who prefer Web 2.0 boards for discussions stand with the bama hate.I'd say for fans around age 40 and older it's definitely ingrained on both sides. I wasn't surprised by the banter & levity on their boards as Gen-X (age 40 and up) to boomers, are the primary demographics for these archaic Web2.0 message boards.
Maybe as young as 30 it's still ingrained, but they would have been born in 1992 just a few years before we ended a Bama run and started our own. Since they've been teenagers, all they've known is the present streak.
I'm not sure the younger generation grasps the impetus 1 win can create and the consequences of that in this rivalry.
Here are all the notable comments from that thread, boiled down to one long post for your reading convenience:
12:11 pm (11 minutes into the game): "Y'all? This Vile team is making me nervous."
12:13 pm: "FG try is good, 10-0 Pumpkins"
12:13 pm: "Hope our defense is ready for that fast paced offense that TN has. They are no joke. Hope Bryce is at 100 percent for practices next week. Really wish this was a home game."
12:29 pm: "heavy sigh. lsu you had one job and you are failing miserably.
12:45 pm: "I hate Tennessee"
12:49 pm (49 minutes after kickoff): "This game is over."
12:50 pm: "UT is a good team guys. LSU also sucks, so there’s that."
12:50 pm: "I would love to beat UT twice this year…" [here's a man who is thinking in the same direction as many of us, though we disagree on the games' outcomes]
12:51 pm: "Tennessee is good. LSU is mediocre. Game over."
12:51 pm: "There seems to be a lot of fifteenesse folks at this game at lsu. How the hell do you let that many opposing team fans into your stadium?"
1:01 pm: "Well, LSU has the ability to make in game adjustments. They were down 17 at the barn last weekend and won the game. We'll see but don't count the corndogs out just yet." [count them out, bud, go ahead and count them out...it really is over at this point]
1:33 pm: "Is the Lsu DL really bad or do the Viles have a decent OL?" [why can't it be both?]
2:13 pm: "That UT offense is legit for sure."
2:15 pm: "Yeah I’m thinking maybe, just maybe, UGA has a challenger in the East."
2:17 pm: "UT is worrying me a bit. I wish the game was at home this year."
5:12 pm: "How good is this Tennessee team? I know LSU isn't good and this was a day game in Red Stick, but that was still an impressive win. Even when you account for the hold LSU dug themselves with stupid mistakes early in the game, that was still a dominant win."
5:26 pm: "How good is UT? We really don't know, they beat a middle of the road acc team, a Florida team who's going through transition and hung on at home, and just skull dragged a bad LSU at home, now they could beat Bama anyone can but I don't think they'll hold us under 20 points"
5:33 pm: "One game can be an outlier, but the more data we have, the more we can tell what each team is like. The body of work so far for Tennessee seems to indicate that this is a good team. This is the third ranked team they have beaten so far and this win was dominant. They definitely seem good, I just don't know how good."
6:50 pm: "Just off the top of my head this is going to be the first time both Alabama and Tennessee are in the top 10 since 1996.
This is the first time in the Nick Saban era that they are on fairly even footing with us excepting the 2007 game in which we still blew them out. Notwithstanding there have still been close affairs such as 2009, 2015, and even last year.
The atmosphere in Neyland at game time will be unlike anything seen in that stadium since maybe 2001.
Yeah it’s going to test our mettle for sure."
1:36 am (the last word): "If Milroe is our starter I honestly do no think I can watch. The combination of BOB and Milroe is not the way I want to see this streak end. If Bama plays it’s best game and they beat us then fine. I want love it but, fine. If we play like tonight, it will just make me sick."

Actually we play well on the road; not to mention Bryant Denny is not Death Valley.View attachment 498466
this guy needs a hug.
This team can and will beat Bama if the defense plays like the 2nd half of yesterday’s game. It just seems that we have the juice. Bama snuck out of 2 with ATM and Texas. I would rather win GA and KY if it means losing to Bama but I can’t stand that Nick Saban.
True, after the last few years you'd think they wouldn't give us a thought, I guess it's ingrained in us on both sides, lol
