Ball State Has Balls

So he deserved to have golf balls thrown at him? Do you know the damage a golf ball can do if it hits you in the head thrown from 100-200 feet aaay?

And what about our own cheerleaders and other people on the field who had nothing to do with the bad call on the field but we’re still getting pelted with crap thrown from the degenerate faction of our fan base?
That you Lane?

I fail to see the fascination with Steele. OK, he took some hits well, but he was not moving forward after initial contact. He totaled 27 yards on 11 carries for a 2.45 ypc. Not that impressive, really.

Sorry for your blurred vision, Steele ran tough. If his OL could have moved our massive front four, he'd have pulled a Chris Rodriguez on us. If you still don't see it, maybe this will help. I just love helping my fellow Vols fans.

Heckle me all you want, but respect Ball State. Unlike the Kiffin Keystone Koppers, The Cardinals came to play football rather than flop ball. Yes, one guy allegedly got cramps, but there was no repetitive flopping with fake injures to slow plays down. Even when being kicked in the teeth, the Cardinals continue to Tex Cobb. For those who don't know this unrefined but heavily underrated boxer, he was once asked what he'd do if during his match (Against Ali, I think) he was losing badly. His answer was, "Why, I'll be slinging leather, darling."

You had to jackhammer the guy to make him quit, and that would probably not work. Ball State, kept punching, and with some level of success. They didn't roll over into fetus position pretending to be hurt. I say, Ball State gave a lesson in how to play football, instead, of…uh, umm… faking it.

Peeked into the forum to see their post game comments. It was what you'd expect. BUT, BUT, But, I think their team will do better in the MAC than they think. That so-called inexperienced QB is pretty darn good. Carson Steele is for real, I wish we had him. If their OL develops a bit better in the rushing department, and they get a complementary RB who can attack the edges more effectively to take heat off Steele, they will be hard to handle by their MAC opponents. Especially if they retain that Tex Cobb mentality. I kind of like their ballsy team. Much more than the Kiffin Keystone Koppers for sure.
You give them way to much credit. The fact they scored 10 against our pi$$ poor defense says it all. This should have been a 70-0 game. D no better than last year. Looks like Chavis 3rd & 39 & they convert. This team no better than 6-6 or 7-5. This team needs two years of top 10 recruiting to be competitive. Not sure they have it. What is Spyre doing with recruiting $.

Well..., what I do understand is, I love my Vols, come thundering hail, or roaring high water. And I'll root for them even if they are pi$$ poor, and losing a game 0-90. And I'll respect opponents, even if I don't like them.

I respect they didn’t do it but, as others have pointed out, what would’ve been the point?

Agree! Much respect to their team. Note: the think the Cobb fight was against Larry Holmes.

The Defense probably is suspect, but I thought this was funny. Watch the Left Tackle and Center blatantly run downfield to engage the underneath guys and make it look like Burrell got burned.
