1.5 mill is a sizeable subsidy for these smaller schools like Ball State.

Most of these schools probably fund all of their sports scholarships from a single game like this one...so that's why you're never going to hear me complain about UT playing a "cupcake" school.

That’s fair. They had all year to practice up to stop our offense and score in our defense. They have our film, I expect we will get their best shot tomorrow night. They’ve had all winter and summer to prepare for us specifically and it won’t help. But I want to see them try. I wonder how much film they have watched on the Vols studying our strategy. We can play to our film. Our receivers will run wild against their DBs. They should gamble and jump plays on defense and run trick plays on offense. I expect our speed will be the difference in the game. There’s no doubt in my mind the players for Ball St put in the work with intentions of pulling the upset. I respect them for that.
