It really wouldn't make sense for him to come back..besides he might get a better NFL job soon, it looks like Winston has played pretty well so far.

No! Haven't you read on here? He's a HORRIBLE coach and obviously Jones is going to hire him no ZA no Scott er uh Helfrich.

(1) I am the football coach of the Miami Dolphins. I have not spoken to anyone at the University of Alabama and I will remain the coach of the Dolphins.

(2) I did not have sexual relations with that woman, miss lewinski.

Bet this thread still has 1000 posts about how stupid it would have been and CBJ blah blah blah

Bet it's a home run like Shoop . . . Eh chalk that up to 1st year and injuries.
So that leaves Debord. I remember how Volnation nailed that one, a swimming director. Everyone knows how bad his offense was with so few points and yards/bluefont.

I have faith in Butch. It will be fine. I hope he continues to watch over the offense. It works.

Smokescreen IMO TIFWIW TWSS JMO

You think he was meeting with Gruden too, I'm glad we agree. They did say there was a 3rd person, sounded hoarse with blonde hair. Kinda stocky for his age and was wearing an orange tie...

I can't blame him. Being the OC at a power program like UT is not the easiest job in the world and it seems like he's content to be a QB coach in Tampa where there's less pressure. Probably a better environment to raise a family in.

Fwiw, I think he did a good job here. Remember, Coach Jake had little talent to work with when he was here, whereas DeBord had loads of talent. Coach Jake's offenses were well disciplined and made few mistakes, but we were severely overmatched on the O-line in 2014 (Dooley's fault; not Bajakian's). Not much Coach Jake could do about that except recruit O-linemen for the future (which he did!) I'd actually welcome his return and we badly need a QB Coach right now. (Though, I'm still hoping for Helfrich even if the media is saying he's not a candidate.)

2013 Retreat Collection | CoachMcNally.com

I bought this back a couple of years ago. It's Bajakian at a coaching clinic and if one is interested in understanding what the offensive philosophy was when CBJ/CMB got here, it's a place to start.

CMB is where he needs to be imo.

Am I missing something? Bajakian wasn't a bad OC, just try to remember what he had to work with while he was here.

Also, 2013 (following Dooley's last year), and 2014 (only one true recruiting class under the staff's belt) the SEC was loaded with talent and UT was playing catch up.

2013 was essentially a throw away season, and UT still managed to beat a top 10 SCAR, and barring a Pig fumble trying to dive for a touchdown they most likely beat UGA.

2014 the offense was greatly improved with Dobbs at the helm and new recruits (Hurd's first year). They get to a bowl and trounce Iowa.

Go look at the offensive numbers. You could argue that he shouldn't have been fired and would have been more successful than Debord, given the talent Debord inherited.

I agree with your post except for the bolded part. Maybe you state that because he's 1 layer removed...QB coach vs. OC? If so, I get that. Still plenty of pressure in the NFL to perform.

He was never fired. He took a job with the Bucs to coach the #1 draft pick
