Ja'Kobi Lane, Red Mountain, Wide Receiver (247sports.com)
Visiting this weekend to camp and try to earn an offer. Believe he's doing the same at UGA tomorrow before traveling to Knoxville.
Has offers from more than a dozen schools, including Arizona, Arizona State, Colorado, Kansas State (OV'd last weekend), Iowa State and Utah and was just offered by AU last week. Stood out at OT, including being in the "Others Considered Category for WRs in the post-mortem "Buidling a Dream Team" recap
Thursday Night standout:
WR
Ja'Kobi Lane – Lane has turned heads on the 7v7 circuit plenty of times before. So, it shouldn't be all that surprising that he stood out Thursday as he has a knack for getting open and finding soft spots in defenses. Lane and his Tucson Turf teammates weren't expected to put up many points against the South Florida Express or Miami Immortals as both organizations are loaded with blue-chippers in the secondary, but the group did just that as Lane scored at least four touchdowns. Some evaluators will point to Lane's 6-foot-5 frame and claim that his length is why he's so productive, but the playmaker out of Mesa (Az.) Red Mountain deserves some credit for being a crafty route runner and understanding how to work for his quarterback.
