If you watch the videos of the Patterson girl and Justine Pissott, there is not a great deal of difference in their game and abilities.....Both are very athletic, and cat quick...

Patterson is ranked the number one wing, and number three player in 2022, and Pissott is ranked the number seven wing, and number 47 player in 2022.

In Patterson's video she does dunk the ball, so that is a plus, but rarely in the girl's game does dunking occur...Yes, I know the UConn game.

Justine regularly shoots and scores 3-5 feet behind the 3 point line. This is a huge plus.

By virtue of the rankings alone, it seems there is a significant difference. It's a moot point in this case since Patterson isn't considering Tennessee, but they need to get some players of her caliber to build the team around.

I've watched several films of both girls numerous times, and tell me where Justine is lacking...Point out her deficiencies.

For example, Horston was ranked the top guard, or near the top of her class, how did that work out for us...She was a turnover waiting to happen....Hopefully, she has improved on that, but ranking systems are just ranking systems, nothing more.

I have to disagree with this post (slightly).... Patterson and Pissott are completely opposite players at the wing/forward positions.

Patterson is a true “power forward” Huge, strong, defensive specialist, inside out player

Pissott is a shifty wing, SHOOTER, good sized, avoids contact, outside in player

Both can dribble but it’s not a strength for either.

Justine has the clear advantage offensively being able to score from 3 levels (maybe 4 from how deep she shoots). Whereas Patterson is a decent midrange/low post scorer with almost 0 outside game. Her shot is not great whatsoever.

Patterson however has superior size + strength and plays off the block or high post. She takes up space. A more traditional player to defend other similar sized post. A Nightmare match up with her athleticism is why she’s considered top 5.

Pissott has more versatility in her guarding abilities, as i find her more mobile. But her ability to guard the elite posts is questionable.

Side Note:
From what I’ve seen out of Ohio United (Patterson’s team)... they tend to only score in the low 40s and even barely get into the 30s versus better teams...

Edit: When Justine puts on college weight/muscle... watch out

I think you're selling Jordan short. She wasn't the 2nd best freshman last year, but she was easily top 10...and it goes without saying that she has a ton of upside and could very well be top 5 by the time she graduates. So while Lavender Briggs (#47) had a better freshman year statistically, I don't think you'll find many takers who think that she's on the same level as Jordan.

As for Justine's highlight films...I'm sure she looks perfectly fine and she'll probably be a solid player...but there's a reason that Patterson is a consensus top 5 pick and Justine is not. Also, it's funny how a few years ago when Tennessee snagged 4 AAs (incl. 3 top 10 players), then the rankings seemed to matter more than they do now that Tennessee is in a drought for the top 20 players.

According to story I read about Justine, her coach said she gets her shot off so fast it's almost unblockable....She has a very high release...The girl is made to shoot the 3 ball.

Patterson will be a great banger on the inside....She is listed as a wing, however a lot of her game will be played on the blocks down low...She has a good medium outside shot, but she has no where near the shooting range Justine has...

Patterson is an outstanding player...

It’s always amazing. Players never miss in highlight films.

No offense meant GT, but until proven otherwise, I’ll trust the ranking services when comparing the No. 3 player vs the No. 47 player. Most times they have it right.

Just when I think he can't possibly top his ridiculous "too white" comment about Pissott...

Yeah im sorry Patterson is elite , Pissott is damn good but i do see the physical differences and abilities between the two to verify why they are ranked where they are.
