Avery Johnson fired

What a joke. The problem isn't the coach, it's the overpaid talent. All the focus is on the flash (Lopez, Williams, and Johnson) when really the main reason they are at the very least .500 is because of the productive players (Evans, Hump, Wallace, Blatche).

Because he's vastly overrated

I'd say that about almost any coach that is considered to be "good".

Besides the few elite coaches (Pop, Phil Jackson), I feel like there's no difference between the large majority of coaches...it all comes down to talent.

Rick Carlisle impressed me in the 2011 playoffs. He made a lot of great adjustments.

Oh yeah. My bad. D-Will was awesome in UT. Very productive. Even Phil Jackson said he would take D-Will over CP3 (he was wrong, but that's how good D-Will WAS). D-Will changed his game based on what he expected from the NJ personnel around him, and he has never recovered. All 3 years with the Nets he's played at a below average level.

I feel the same way though. If the Lakers arent winning, its not Mike Brown or Mike D'antoni's fault. They have 6 former all stars, they should be able to play together and win

Right. I don't think there's any amount of coaching Avery can do to make Lopez get 10 rpg. It's just not happening because Lopez sucks.

Shaq just said on TNT "this is the first time I've heard a point guard, who has the ball majority of the time, say he wasn't happy with the offense. Maybe you need to look in the mirror and wonder if you're doing things right"

I like Avery he thought he was getting 2 or 3 superstars, got one pretty good one, that wont work in the NBA, dont think he would have took the job if he thought Williams was all he was getting.

This is one of the rare times that I agree with you.
