The first one was horrible.
I enjoyed it once, it was different. That said, it's not one I'd willingly sit through again. I'll probably watch this, but not pay theater prices, I'll wait for the $1.50 redbox release.

The first one was best in the theater and still has the best 3D I’ve ever seen.

When it came to video that’s when it lost its sheen. The story was a little hollow.

I’ll this though, the ride at Disney Animal Kingdom is fun AF. The whole land is pretty cool. Especially at night.

Best thing about Avatar is Flight of Passage at Animal Kingdom.

Though to be fair, Flight of Passage is unbelievable.

This is the best thing about Avatar. The line sucks though . Especially if you don’t have a fast pass.

We rode it twice. Once with a Lightning Lane and then got in line just as the park closed so it was only about 45 min.

I thought it was good the first time but the second time it broke down right at the end. We were stuck in the seats for almost an hour because we were too high up to let us out. My leg was in a weird position and I couldn't move it very well, which isn't a big deal for a 5 minute ride or so. But after an hour, I was starting to get a bit angry.

As far as this....I'll see it eventually but I find Avatar to be one of the most overrated movies of all time, with some one dimensional acting and characters that would make the Star Wars prequels shake their collective heads.

Anyone seen it yet? It's getting pretty good reviews Letterboxd.com has it at 4.0/5 with 19k 4⭐ reviews and 11k 5⭐ reviews.

While IMDB has a 8.1/10 with over 35k reviews.

The plot of the first Avatar movie was a ripoff of Dances with Wolves.

Agreed, but these films need to be taken for what they are. The stories have been done before over and over, yes, but the story is not what Cameron is going for.

He's going for a technological masterpiece and innovative film-making practices, which he achieved. I haven't seen the new film yet but I know what to expect. A tried and true story blended with exceptional visuals and groundbreaking technology in movie-making.
