The Tigers have just scored a TD to make it 10-7 Missouri with 7:49 left in the first half.

It’s been surprisingly sluggish so far in a game that was expected to be very much an offensive matchup of two teams from the old Big 8 Conference.

The last meeting between these two teams was the Cotton Bowl following the 2013 season, when #8 Missouri (11-2) beat #13 Oklahoma State (10-3) 41-31, to finish 12-2 and ranked #5.

Side note: It’s also kind of funny how the SEC keeps placing Missouri into these bowl matchups against teams from their former conference but the Big 12 recurringly seems to pair/ send a traditional rival for Missouri in turn.

They’ve ended up playing Oklahoma State twice (Cotton Bowl after 2013, Liberty Bowl after 2018) and Texas (Texas Bowl after the 2017 season).

(I mean come on guys, at the very least put them against Iowa State for the old telephone trophy since Kansas is never Bowl eligible.)

I’m surprised Missouri’s using the really classic helmet logos for this game (from like the 1970s maybe?).

Oklahoma State scores to make it 21-16 on the first drive of the half, before Missouri fumbled on a screen (is it raining in Memphis?), and Oklahoma State scored again to make it 28-16 with 10:21 left in the 3rd quarter.

Missouri touchdown on a blown coverage where the defensive back fell down at the start of the play?

Nope.

Offensive holding on the other side of the line.

Wow nice throw on the run and catch.

Not to mention the hit afterwards...I’m pretty sure #2 on Missouri did another flip or two out of bounds on the sidelines from it.

There’s that Missouri pass defense - ranked 104th out of 130 FBS teams - again. Ok State beats them deep for another passing TD one play after converting a 3rd and 13.

35-19 Oklahoma State

Missouri’s WR Emanuel Hall - from Brentwood, TN - will be out for the rest of the game.

That’s pretty much their main (/best) wideout.

And Missouri fails to convert a 4th and 6 at midfield. This could be Oklahoma State’s chance to drive in a dagger:

Ranked 104th for a reason. Pass interference on a deep pass, and now Ok st ball at the Missouri 25.
