Austin Denney

Austin Denney was a terrific tight end for Tennessee back in the mid-sixties. I believe he holds (or is tied) for the most TD's by a tight end at Tennessee. He and Johnny Mills formed a formadable tandem for Tennessee, especially in 1966.

I'm 28 and can remember being at a UT game with my dad when I was 12 or so. He pointed out this huge guy walking in the crowd and told me it was Austin Denney. Denney was a giant to me then.

Funny how a thread like this, which states that we lost a great member of the Vol Family, gets less than 10 posts. Then on the flip side there's over two thousand talking about changing the uniform. Granted this one was just posted today, but still.
