Im going to get burned for this but Auburn started 16 underclassmen this year and still managed to finish 7-5 and are chicken bowl bound. And before you start yelling schedule they played bama, lsu, Arkansas, Florida, south Carolina and Georgia not to mention a road trip to Clemson(which was solid back in September) just posting this because look what coaching can do. Sad part is we dropped a game with an ACC team to pick up buffalo to ensure a bowl game. This isn't going to get any better next year, I saw nothing but desperation the last few weeks of the season from this coaching staff which leads me to believe they are over their heads. Sure we have had injuries but you plan and adapt and keep on trucking. Yesterday was unacceptable and embarrassing but you guys still defend this guy. I hope that mr. Hart fixes this problem, firing him wont set us back nearly as long as keeping him and by the way La Tech won the WAC yesterday

It pains me somewhere deep to agree with you on this, but you are right. This "we are young" crap is getting old. Yeah, we ARE young, but so are other players/teams in the country and they are doing much better than we are. Do I need to bring up Lattimore and Crowell?

And they also lost almost every single meaningful starter from last year's BCSNCG squad save for Dwyer and a CB I think.

And I live in Alabama now and have heard snippets of Chizik being covered by a Bama network station. He accepts responsibility for his team's shortcomings and has never blamed youth, inexperience, depth, etc. It's weird to hear a coach accept responsibility for his team that he's being paid millions to coach/lead.

Right and you never hear him publicly bash his players or team. Im just over it Dooley is the man of class and integrity but has no problem calling these kids and this team out to the media and its never his fault I wish he would quit being a punk man up and stop hiding behind his mama

I don't want to get into excuses, but please don't seriously compare the roster situation of the defending national champs to ours.

So you agree with what DC said?

They're young, but not as young as UT is.

And youth has been a valid excuse this year, but not yesterday.

you can only use youth as an excuse for so long. anybody that has seen tennessee play this year can see that dooley is a horrible coach. he has lost the players, time for him to pack up and go to georgia.

He just lost his players in the last few days, since they had him on their shoulders and were singing after Vandy?

GA is young as well...the difference is these teams have good coaches!

Well, you need to check out the Auburn boards, the main thread running through them today is "Well, at least we aren't as bad as Tn."

The real difference is that UT is young and has no depth.

These other teams you are comparing have good depth. Sometimes they have have seniors backing up freshman or sophomores in the two deep.

They play freshman because they're good.

UT plays freshman because they have to.
