I've been thinking about this weekend's series at The Barn and it's really not going to matter whether we come out tied with Bama, up a game, or even down a game. Either way the team that wins the final series goes to Hoover. The only way this series is a disaster is if we get swept and Bama sweeps Ole Miss.

Ideally we need to win one more game this weekend than Bama does. That would put us up 2 and require a Bama sweep next weekend.

I realize Kentucky is still in this and that they finish up at UGA, but we practically hold a three game lead over them since we won the season series. It would take them playing three games better than us over the next two weekends, and I just don't see it.

I love baseball. So many numbers to play with. :)

Thoughts?

I agree....we just can't get swept....and hope Bama doesn't sweep....on a negative note I saw Ole Miss' best pitcher Drew Pomeranz who's a projected top 5 pick may not pitch this weekend due to injury...that could make the Friday game go from a near Ole Miss lock to in the Tide's favor

Our best chance at a win this weekend is Friday night with McCray...Auburn doesn't have a true #1 from looking at their stats so that's our best chance to get a win no doubt...the games this weekend should be slugfests....we just have to come out on top in one of them

I thinks it's going to come down to the final weekend as it usually does...Auburn is very strong at the plate so our bats have to be hot as well. The way we have been hitting I think we can definitely give Auburn trouble.
