I didn't think they would anyway. It wouldn't shock me if they lose in the S16.

Even as an Auburn fan, I haven’t truly thought we would win it all throughout most of this season. The tournament is just too fickle; you need essentially everything to line up. I’d be ecstatic if we can make the final 4. Only thing that would be truly disappointing to me would be not making it out of the first weekend

My biggest concern for Auburn is they are a bully.

And when they play another team that is just as big and bad that they can't bully, they struggle.

It's why Tennessee is a bad matchup for them.

The Boston Liar is a crybaby. Was when he was here too. The whole aubie team cries on every play.

They did show good sportsmanship today a couple of times and Broome had a classy comment about UT postgame

When Bruce has a team that is supposed to do well in the NCAA Tournament, they never live up to expectations. Vols getting destroyed by Louisville, in the Sweet 16, is my number one example. He seems to make runs as an underdog, so to speak. Auburn's Final 4 and the Vols elite 8. Plus, they peaked too early, this year, imo

Bruce was very diplomatic post game UNTIL he got asked if there's any panic. You could tell he was ticked off. He wanted that sec tourney title.

Austin Peay got in tourney 2 times when it was just 32 teams in early 70's. Took Kentucky to OT in sweet 16 and refs stole the game. Back in the Fly Williams days. Austin Peay has actual tourney wins. I think they have at least 2 which is more than alot of teams can say and who
can forget when they upset Illinois in the late 80s I think. Then lost to eventual final 4 team. Providence in OT.

I can’t imagine what our fans would be saying if we had lost to a 15 seed last year and then this year. Lost 3 of our last four heading into the NCAA

Probably be saying we were doomed and to Bring Back Bruce.

They might pay attention more tomorrow if we were to play and BEAT FL. Them having just beaten BAMA. Might look ODD to make us a 2 after beating 2 1 seeds in successive days. Hop we get to find out.

The irritating part is this: whomever is on the committee each year utilizes whichever metric they need to exclude or include teams into their pre-made brackets before the conference tourney. However if they wish to bump down a team for whatever reason, they THEN go to conference tourney to search for an untimely loss to notch said team down. That is what gets everyone so upset.....the parameters drift each year to support whatever is "pre-ordained" by lazy committees. How on earth Auburn gets zero punishment for losing 3 or their last 4 is beyond belief. Can you imagine if the Vols had been in that spot? We would be hammered down to a 3 line seed. I have no doubt about that.
