Two part question, all speculation of course. You will be graded.

Which rising juniors would you say are the most likely to, or have the best potential to declare early after the 2018 season?

Which current players would you say are most likely to either be encouraged to look for opportunities elsewhere, or otherwise decide to transfer on their own?

Basically asking for two reasons:

1. Basic team construction/needs for the 2019 class.
2. Thinking 2018 will be an improved year - foundation for the future. Hoping 2019 could be a potential 10+ win year where we start to make noise.

Nobody can pro because they're not good enough.

Nobody leaving because we aren't bringing in anyone good enough to replace them...yet.

There’s always 5-10 players that leave under each coaching change for whatever reason they don’t feel like they’re going to get a fair shake maybe they don’t fit the system ...

If you can get 18 of the 25 To be productive players or starters or eventual starters and his recruiting class you’ve hit homeruns

12 months ago we could not see Galloway improving this much. So at this point we can't determine who might have a breakout season and propel that to the NFL.

You'll see at least four more scholarship guys jump before or after spring practice. I don't think it's fair to speculate on who those guys are, but the intensity and expectations of this staff will not be for everyone.

Calloway is still a work in process.. he did disappear in game Maybe more to do with horrible quarterback play but he could be special not ready to anoint him yet

I think with better coaching they will all improve. At least thats my hope.

We hoped that BUTch was an improvement over Dooley. We hoped that Shoop would improve the defense. We hoped that with a QB coach that Dormady would improve. We hoped that Scott would be a better OC. We hoped that Azani replacement would cause WR play to improve and somebody could get open

Hell, I won't sweat any player currently on the roster transferring or going pro. Go for it.

In my opinion ... no need to go there. Why start naming names of guys who should be run off? We need everybody right now. Leave everything else up to the coaches.

That's not why players leave during coaching changes. There will be some leave because they won't buy in and were used to half a$$ing under Butch.

Except for maybe Trey Smith I think I'm here, too. Warrior and Bituli unquestionably have talent but they draw ridiculous penalties that wipe out momentum and kill team spirit more than their exceptional plays raise it. Might they grow up fast? I really hope so. On offense wipe the slate. Without a line... Hilary can finish the thought.

Kmac was far from pro caliber so it wouldn’t surprise me if there are more babies(that’s a nice word to put it) leave after next year because Pruitt doesn’t take their liberal self entitled bull crap.

Not necessarily. I can't say anything about last season but the year before he was the #2 rated DT by some agency.

He should have stayed another year though.

Warrior will be the one to be most at risk of declaring early
Calloway with a good season.

Ideally, JG because he had a Heisman like season (a fellow can dream right?).

Transfer: Loser of the QB battle (McBride?)
Players who don't fit into the 3-4 going into year 2.
Any RB or WR that loses ground with the incoming class.
A few of the OL or DBs that get recruited over.

Appreciate the responses. Wasn't trying to "run anyone off" (whatever that meant - this is a discussion forum).

I have great respect for all our players and wish them all well. The transfer part I meant wasn't to indicate anyone as soft. Instead who might not "fit" anymore. Similar to the players we had committed who were told to look elsewhere (Matthew Flint, for example).

Players declaring early IMO is beneficial in two regards:

- indicates (KM not withstanding) that the player excelled
- gives credibility to the coaching staff that they can point to helping get guys to the next level.

I'd selfishly like to keep all our talented players for all four years, but that's unlikely. Guess I'm in agreement with most here about MC, NW, and DB.

Another name I'd throw out if (big if) he stays healthy is Darrin Kirkland. Health hasn't been on his side so if he can put together a 10 game season, then odds are he bolts.

To rudy123,all those that you posted were under the micro-managing Jones effect,Shoop couldn't Probably Blitz Without Butche's blessing.Thankfully, Sgt.Carter is no longer here, and" we can't hear him".

Here is my thought... remember the first minute you arrived at bootcamp. Instructor comes on the bus and tells you to get OFF MY BUS, MAGGOTS.... well, I think Pruitt needs to set the tone quickly with his team. If they understand him from the get-go, then and there, the rest will fall into place nicely.

If you've got a 4-8 record and you don't want to work, best you go now.

I think you'll see several LBs simply because they don't fit the profile of what Pruitt will be looking for.
