Attendace record for the Orange/White Game?

They were talking on birmingham radio that the Alabama A-day game this year will break all spring scrimmage game attendance records. Got me to thinking, what is our highest recorded attendance for the spring game?

April 26, 1986 24-14 73,801; this stat actually came from this site. i can't go "back" far enough to paste the link, but all the orange and white games are on there. pretty neat. at the time, it was a record. i think either michigan or penn state just broke it, a couple of years ago. i was at that o&w game, btw. one of my first "UT" memories. aww. lol

UT wanted to have the record for the largest attendance at a spring football game. The school promoted it, and gave away tickets to the game.

It was the '86 spring game so everyone was still pretty high about the '85 SEC championship and the win over Miami in the Sugar Bowl.
