Atmosphere in TBA

Talk to Don Cherry, Barry Melrose, Mike Breen, Darren Pang, or any of a hundred guys who actually cover the NHL on a regular basis. Nashville is a library compared to places like Detroit, Phliladelphia, and Calgary. Also, the fans in those markets actually understand the game and don't have to have icing explained to them every five minutes.
Whats Betty Crocker got to do with hockey?

Look what you've done now. You've confused the average Predator fan even worse. They've just now come to grips with the fact that The Governator, Jesse Ventura, nor Carl Weathers are not on their team.

haha. like i thought. you know nothing about hockey. The Joe and philly are like libraries, as most of the people are 90 years old and have had tickets since they were kids. They no longer get into it, whereas I go to almost every Preds game. I gurantee I would know. Don't worry about it man.

Yeah, it's the hockey knowledge of the Nashville fan base that is most impressive. I'm surprised Bettman hasn't moved the league offices there. Nashville is to the NHL what it has been to the NFL, a meaningless little pretender of a city used to simply fill out the league. Until you've been to a Game 7 at the Garden, the Joe, the Whatever the Hell They're Calling the Arena in Philly This Week, or the Saddledome, I'll take your opinion with a grain of salt.

haha. are you kidding me?

last time i checked, Nashville wasn't called Hockeytown. last time i checked at the GEC there were no banners that stated Stanley Cups won.

please refrain from compairing Nashville to real hockey towns.

Nashville has one of the better teams in the NHL this season and can't even sell out a game on a Saturday night. They are hardly Hockeytown.

My God, can you imagine the atmosphere if they actually filled the building? The opposing teams would probably simply forfeit and move on to the next city.

feel free to purchase a ticket mr. know it all. Most of the unsold seats are business. We fill up the rest. I went to a game at the Joe with my uncle from detroit, and it was soooo boring. A "sell out" with 9000 silent people there. yeah i almost fell asleep, so boring. nashville has been here eight years and detroit bought their cups or won them when there was only 6 teams. hardly an accomplishment.

GO NASHVILLE PREDS!

Anyway, back to the atmosphere at TBA.............

Is there anything that could be done to help short of blowing the place up and starting over? Will the upcoming renovations help at all? The seating capacity is actually going to go down from 24,000+ to around 21,000, but maybe some of the people that are there just to be seen will occupy some of the luxury boxes, etc.
