It is a tough road to six wins. There is to much parity of suck in the East (except Georgia) and our draws from the West are brutal. If we get to six or better it will be a good sign that we have an actual coach.

Sure losses: Bama, Georgia, Auburn, Florida, West Virginia

Toss Ups: South Carolina, Mizzou, Kentucky, Vandy

Sure Wins: UTEP, etsu, Charlotte

Tennessee is in the position where they now have to prove they are better than #58. We no longer deserve the benefit of the doubt after a decade of disappointment. It hurts me to say that but it is the truth.

I still wonder why Oklahoma keeps getting so much love in not only this preseason poll but the ESPN FPI one as well. Baker Mayfield was that team. With him gone I do not see a lot there.

Throw out the UWV,I think it's a tossup, but if we cant beat 2 out of UF, USC, Ky,Vandy or Missouri, then it's worse than it looks at the surface..crap staff lost 3 of those games ;we quit on two of them because of crap coaching...and 3 of them are at home

It will be an overachievement if CJP gets to a bowl game with UTK before year 3. With what's happening at UGA I don't think any reasonable person can expect CJP to win the east. Maybe he'll string together a couple of 9 win seasons before moving on.

You gotta be kidding with this. How in the hell is 6-6 before year 3 an overachievement at UT? I hope you’re ready to eat your words and keep irrational thoughts to yourself after we go 8-4 this year.

I don't think we're even with WVU. Maybe if the game was later in the season, but being that early, I think they'll be pretty decent favorites.

It's possible that TN won't be the team plagued by large volumes of poorly timed injuries this year. Other than Fla, TN seems to have been hardest by this recently. This factor might result in an unforeseen win or two. Not wishing anyone would get hurt, but it will definitely happen.

We won 4 games last year with an experienced head coach who has a 56% career winning percentage and who had four conference championships on his resume.

So it should go without saying that we will definitely win more games this season under the supervision of a guy who has never won a game as a head coach.

Ok, slow down there Butch for Heisman. Me thinks you're giving a coach that never once let his qb practice from under center which could have cost us a win last year more credit than he deserves, oh, and the freakin chart. :thud:

I didn't give my assessment of Butch or Pruitt. I simply stated facts which are not in dispute.

I can see us breaking into the top 25 if everything goes just right but it will only be after a bowl win at the very end of the season.

Trust me I hope I am wrong. There are just too many unknowns this year.
Maybe I am overly optimistic and banking on instant chemistry but still not impressed with Sec East besides UGA. Wished we played Florida later because they always run out of gas midway to end of season and get Missouri early because they always play better at the end. Our 1st game will tell me a lot in whether we lose or not ...if competitive will tell me if we got a chance to go 8-4 if not then we probably go 6-6. Main thing to me is that we go at least 6-6 and win a few sec games and beat teams we are supposed to beat to make it to bowl to build on 2019 season.

If we can find some line players both on offense and defense we'll be a good team with at least 7 wins. Were solid everywhere IMO except OL and DL. I think we'll be good in the secondary and at linebacker. I like our running back crew and even our WR's. It all comes together if you get line play otherwise all the other positions suffer dramatically.
